Frequently Asked Questions

These are commonly asked questions about GV for Windows Phone. If you have any questions that are not addressed below, please feel free to contact us using the feedback page.

What's different about the Trial version of GV for Windows Phone?

The Trial version of GV for WP only allows you to send or make 5 texts or voice calls (combined). If you would like to send or call more with GV for Windows Phone, you need to buy the full version. Previously, GV for WP did not allow Trial users to make any calls or send any voice messages. We at 509 Industries decided that users need to at least see how the app works before they are expected to pay for it.

What information does 509 Industries store about me?

If you don't sign up for PushNotifications, 509 Industrues stores your username and password on the device for fast login, as well as your phone's number for callbacks. Your password on the device is encrypted so that no one else can get access to it and find out your password. No information is sent back to the 509 Industries server. If you do sign up for push notifications, 509 Industries stores your email address, the number of messages you have received since you last opened the app, and your preferences for what type of notifications you would like to receive (push, toast, or both). 509 Industrues never stores your password or the contents of your messages on our servers. Please note, 509 Industries is in no way affiliated with GVMax, so this information does not pertain to what information is stored on the GVMax servers.
